DoomDoom Sahur

Description:

"DOOM DOOM SAHUR" is a prototype horror game inspired by the Sahur meme, with the author's reworking towards absurd but intense gameplay.

The player will have to collect "drums" while hiding and surviving in a world where the monster appears with increasing frequency - depending on your success. Yes, the closer you are to victory - the more he hates you.

Combining VHS style, Roffle setting and crazy balance between fear and grotesque, this project is a look at classic horror from an angle. There is no dull running from screamers - here you are a hunter and a victim at the same time, and fun, and awesome.

Gameplay:

Collecting "drums" needed to complete the game.

The monster spawns on a timer, but is smarter than you think - with a chance and dependence on your progress.

You are armed, but not immortal: 3 shots - and there is a chance to survive if the ammo has not run out.

UI design in the style of old arcades with its own system of elements: cartridges, counters, damage vignette, etc.

VHS atmosphere and a sound loop with the legendary Tun-Tun.

Status:

This is the first prototype, assembled in ~2 weeks, in total it took about 100 hours of pure hell of development, testing, editing, and UI engineering.

The project requires revision, and it will get it - but now you can try the basis, feel the gameplay, and leave your feedback.
